Case Review

Original writing · hindsight review · anchored in known history, viewed through chart structure

Bing (丙) Fire is the fire of the sun, signifying the light of care; the year and month pillars reveal Indirect Wealth and Direct Wealth. Looking back on the life of “the Lady with the Lamp” — born to wealth yet devoting herself to battlefield nursing in the Crimea, and reforming army medicine through statistics — it reflects Wealth dispersed (her family's fortune and her own energies) and Fire's illumination.

Earth drains Fire twice (Chen 辰 and Xu 戌). Worn out after the war, she spent much of her later life bedridden yet kept writing and founded a nursing school; this can be observed in hindsight as “Fire generating Earth — light turned into the ground of a lifework.” Modern nursing was founded on her work, a gloss on the sun becoming a lighthouse.

This is a retrospective cross-cultural comparison, not a definitive claim.
