Three questions to ask yourself
- “事業功勳暮與朝” — if this line were a painting, where would you be standing in it?
- “榮華物態不勝饒” — what is harder to let go of here: the outcome, or the process?
- “福祿聲名價自超” — what is the smallest thing you could do for it today?
About this set
A folk collection of fortune-stick poems named after Guanyin; this site only explains the text. It is the most widely known set, 100 in all. Most verses are four lines of seven characters, graded upper, middle or lower, and each is often paired with a story from history or opera.
The poems are traditional folk texts in the public domain, checked against several published versions. The ink paintings are drawn by the site from each poem's imagery. For cultural entertainment only — it can't predict the future and isn't advice of any kind. MoZhu is not affiliated with any temple or religious organization.
