Lesson 9 / 10
Reading several cards as one story
Single meanings are words; reading is joining them into sentences. Look at relationships, change and the whole.
Start with the whole
More Majors or Minors? Which suit dominates? How many reversals? These set the overall tone.
Then card to card
Do neighbouring cards support or clash? From first to last, does the picture brighten or darken? Tower → Star → Sun, for instance, is a story of collapse to recovery.
Return to the question
Sum it up in a sentence or two: what are these cards asking me to notice? What can I do next?
Key points
- Overall tone → card relationships → back to the question
- Notice light and dark, and where figures look
- End with one doable action
Try this
Write a three-sentence story from the Tower, the Star and the Sun.
These lessons treat tarot as a tool for reflection and storytelling, not prediction.
