Three questions to ask yourself

  1. “一則以喜” — which situation in your life does this line bring to mind?
  2. “一則以懼” — in that situation, what matters most to you, and what would you hate to lose?
  3. “一則以懼” — if you could take only one small step first, which would it be?

About this set

A folk collection of fortune-stick poems named after Yue Lao, the old man under the moon of matchmaking legend; this site only explains the text. Some lots are lines of verse, but most quote short passages from classics such as the Book of Songs, the Analects and Mencius. The traditional set has 101 lots (including a 'king lot'); this library covers lots 1–100.

Draw a lotLots are drawn at random by the site; the AI reading is original and for entertainment only.

The poems are traditional folk texts in the public domain, checked against several published versions. The ink paintings are drawn by the site from each poem's imagery. For cultural entertainment only — it can't predict the future and isn't advice of any kind. MoZhu is not affiliated with any temple or religious organization.
