A few big things shape the 2027 sky. Jupiter stays in Leo from New Year until July 26, then moves into Virgo. Saturn spends the whole year in Aries, Uranus is in Gemini, Neptune in Aries and Pluto in Aquarius.
An annular solar eclipse in Aquarius falls on February 6 — Chinese New Year — and a total solar eclipse in Leo on August 2 is one of the longest of the century. Mercury is retrograde three times: February 10 – March 4, June 11 – July 5 and October 8 – 29. Mars is retrograde from January 11 to April 2, and Venus has no retrograde all year. Dates are Beijing time (UTC+8), from geocentric positions; in your time zone they may differ by a day. Houses use whole-sign houses from your Sun sign — a simplified view. For your full picture, cast a birth chart.
Your Chinese zodiac only looks at your birth year and your star sign only at the Sun. To include your year, month, day and hour of birth, try a free BaZi chart or an AI yearly reading.
